Sussex based woodcut print maker Helen Brown's love for this medium started after a school visit to a screen printing workshop. After her degree in printmaking, It was her love of the landscape that led her into woodcut printmaking. A big attraction was being able to take the woodblock outdoors and draw directly on to it, even carving it outdoors if required. She regularly runs courses, and particularly enjoys her Christmas workshops, held at Charleston House. She loves seeing the satisfaction and enjoyment derived from her students, with people often being surprised at how well their prints turn out.
