A woodland garden with wildlife in mind
After his retirement in 2008, garden owner Robin Roose set about finding a property with a garden large enough to accommodate his dream of walking through his own piece of woodland, a style he calls 'glade gardening' - not dissimilar to forest gardening but more open and with greater use of exotic and unusual trees, shrubs and perennials. The haven of calm he has created has not gone unnoticed by the local wildlife, and year on year this has increased, encouraged by a natural gardening style, year round pollen providers, beneficial habitats and a wildlife pond.
