A Springtime wildlife garden
This large, tree adorned garden was originally a tennis court, but over the years garden owner Jane Muirhead has created an organic wildlife garden, and a haven for the local wildlife. Influenced by her mother, her many visits to Beth Chatto and the writings of Dan Pearson, Jane has risen to the challenge of change, crafting paths through the beds and learning much about shade planting and organic gardening. She has created a wildflower garden where the rose garden once was, with every year being a surprise with different flowers dominating.
“As I plant more and more, the lawn may be getting smaller, but there are still many relaxing places to sit and enjoy a cup of tea”.
