The Garden Pictorial

The Bath Priory Hotel, Bath

Created in 1836, the gardens at The Bath Priory Hotel were heavily inspired by the Gertrude Jekyll method of planting, using soft colours and gently billowing borders. The magnificent cedar, weeping ash and ancient mulberry trees provide a mature framework for the more intimate corners of the garden, which is frequented by the hotel's guests. Head gardener Jane Moore aims for an all year round garden, and the structure created by the trees and topiary make for a charming winter garden.
